Christian Service is an aspect of Catholic life which allows all of us to become a people of compassion and knowledge, a people committed to justice, a people for others. It is our goal, that as disciples of Christ, in each of us, our hearts grow with such love and compassion, that we truly become a people of service reaching out to the greater community of Los Angeles, and the world.

The hope is that through service, each of us will become aware of our Christian responsibility to respond to those in need around us locally, and in the world at large. The development of community, both within the walls of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, and outside its walls, is a vital goal of J13.


1. ART and ENVIRONMENT:

Calling all artists and those with a gift for design, we need your talents to help with environment at the Cathedral.

2. USHERS and EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS:

We are in need of more people to serve as Ushers and Eucharistic Ministers at all the masses but especially at the Spanish Masses. If you could, please consider being an Usher or Eucharistic Minister even if you just want to devote your time and service once a month. 3. ASCENDING LIGHTS:

Ascending Lights is a program I was recently introduced to and they are in need of Professional, and Spiritual Catholics to serve as mentors to College age young adults who are striving to grow in their leadership skills.
